Short answer: a valid, unexpired government photo ID — and it needs to be in good shape.
•
Bring one of these: a state driver’s license or state ID, a U.S. passport or passport card, or a U.S. military ID. Current, not expired, with your photo and signature.
•
Have it in hand, not a photo of a photo. The platform checks the ID’s security features and compares the photo on it to your face on camera — a cracked, faded, or taped-over ID can slow things down.
•
You may also get a short identity quiz — a few multiple-choice questions about your personal history. Answer them yourself, in the time given.
•
Don’t sign ahead of time. You sign during the session, on camera, after your identity is confirmed.
